Oh Christmas Cards, Oh Christmas Cards!!

Why is it that something that should be so fun always seems to turn into a major task?!? I think choosing a Christmas Card is that way just because I always want it to be so perfect! I HAVE to pick just the right picture(s) to show off my family and of course I want just the right wording to go with the picture(s). Well, this year I think it will be much easier for me...

Check out these awesome cards from Shutterfly! I'm thinking these will be great for showing everyone how much our family has grown and changed this year! I'm having a hard time deciding on which one I like the best though! The best part is that this year Shutterfly is offering 50 cards for free just by blogging about it! Check it out here so you can win free cards to send to me! Here is a link to the many different cards available on Shutterfly

I think this one might be my favorite...Love, Peace and Joy...can't sum it up much better than that! 2010 has certainly been filled with lots of love, peace and joy as we added to our family with our sweet 3rd baby, Cole!

I also really like this one...simple, yet elegant design.

I'm also going to order some books for Christmas gifts for all of the grandparents. Check out all of the neat designs Shutterfly has to choose from here.

And for myself...I'm REALLY hoping Santa will bring me one of these great wall canvases so I can show off my precious babies on my walls at home!

I think these will make awesome gifts and what better way to show everyone what we've been up to this year? 2010 has been one of the best years yet! I think this year our family was completed...the kids are growing up so fast...I just want to freeze time and remember them just like they are today! We'll never get these moments back and I want everyone else to see our family at this special time in our lives, that's why I'm so glad that we'll have each special moment captured through our cards and gifts that we'll be giving out this year!

Now, on to ordering my cards! Merry Christmas to all, and to all...free Shutterfly cards!

i ♥ faces week 26

This week's i ♥ faces theme is "Let's Hear It For the Boys." I have so many [thousands of] pictures of my little boy, but decided instead to enter this picture of my 6 year old nephew. He's just entering into that "too cool to smile" phase, so getting a full smile like this is extremely rare, and I love it!! This is also one of my first pics with my new 50mm 1.4 lens...love it! This pic is SOOC, and I was pretty pleased with it.

Your feedback is welcome as always! Take time to visit everyone elses pics this week at http://www.iheartfaces.com Thanks!

I ♥ Faces - Week 20 - “Silhouettes”

This week was a fun challenge to capture a silhouette. We were visiting my husband's grandparents this weekend and when I walked out on the dock one evening I saw Grammie Jean (82) holding her great-granddaughter, Louisa (our 18 month old daughter). What a timeless photo! Make sure to check out all of the other amazing photos this week at I ♥ Faces.

Fun week at I Faces including a Blurb Book giveaway for the winner. Everyone is entering their favorite faces this week so head on over here and check it out. I was disappointed when I realized I forgot about this image for "Hats" week, so I'm glad I get to enter it this week...hope I make it in the book! Since I recently had my first real customer, I'm entering the professional category (and feeling like a little fish in a GREAT BIG OCEAN!!) Here is one of my favorite faces...

"I am submitting this photo into the www.iheartfaces.com Blurb Book photo contest. I am granting I Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I Faces web sites."

I ♥ Faces - Week 17 - "Hats"

Kids Category:
Lots of special meaning behind this picture. Hubby is a USC grad and I am a Clemson grad. When I found out I was pregnant, I made these shirts and gave them to Hubby to tell him I was pregnant. Little did either of us know at the time that we would actually need both shirts! When we found out we were having a boy and a girl, we decided that our girl would be "Mommy's little Tiger" and our boy would be "Daddy's little Gamecock." A perfect pair...just like Mommy and Daddy! I know I'm biased, but I think they are precious in their hats. If only they were still this little!!

Adult Category:

More Tiger stuff...My sister and brother-in-law have taken all 4 of their kids to Clemson games from the time they were each only a few weeks old...you gotta start 'em young!! When I took this picture, Brad had just bought new matching hats for him and Matthew. If you look closely, you can see the pride and joy in a daddy's eyes...pride for his team and the joy of introducing his son to a wonderful thing called Clemson football!!

Go check out all of the other great hats posted this week at I Faces.
